CAMPUS SAFETY EXPECTATIONS:

What is expected of you when you are on campus Fall 2020-2021?

  • Stay home if you are sick. Contact your immediate supervisor or manager and University Park Health Centre; i.e. the Clinic. Students should contact the Office of Student Affairs and the clinic for further instructions.

  • Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds. Slow down and be thorough. This is your opportunity to protect yourself and others.

  • Practice social distancing of six feet or more. Be respectful of others. When sitting in a meeting or classroom spaces, or when standing in line, be sure to leave six feet between you and others. Faculty, staff and students should facilitate this in their spaces.  Safety is everyone's responsibility.

  • Wear a cloth face covering. American University of Antigua strongly encourages everyone on campus to wear a cloth face covering. Anyone entering AUA facilities is required to wear a cloth face covering. If you don’t have a mask, one may be provided or you may be denied entry allowing you time to retrieve your personal face covering. This is to prevent you from unknowingly spreading the virus to others. You may be carrying the virus and not even know it. For more information on homemade cloth face coverings visit the CDC’s webpage (Links to an external site)

  • Check your campus email and the AUA Information Hotline regularly for updates. This situation is changing rapidly and updates to campus operations and/or procedures may be made at anytime
